LIKANI – GEORGIA
03rd – 09th Feb 2025

From February 3-9, our team from Lorelei Youth Centre took part in the “Youth Workers Go to Theatre” training in Likani, Georgia! This unique Erasmus+ project brought together 30 passionate youth workers from France, Armenia, Georgia, Hungary, Romania, and Ukraine to explore theatre as a tool for conflict resolution, emotional resilience, and social change.
Throughout the training, we dived into Theatre of the Oppressed, Psychodrama, and Nonviolent Communication (NVC)—powerful methods that help transform conflicts into opportunities for growth. We engaged in interactive workshops, role-playing exercises, and deep discussions, all aimed at enhancing our skills in youth work and fostering peaceful communication.
Beyond the sessions, we built strong connections, exchanged ideas, and discovered the power of applied theatre in creating safe spaces for young people to express, reflect, and grow. This experience has truly enriched our approach at Lorelei YC, and we’re excited to bring these innovative tools into our work with youth in France!A huge thank you to our hosts and partners for making this learning journey unforgettable. We’re looking forward to the second part of the project in Dilijan, Armenia in June 2025! Stay tuned for more updates!
